Fais De La Lumiere - Give Us Light

Sometimes, when you squint hard enough or you plunge into the shadows after being in bright light, the world you see becomes blurry and the objects in front of you melt into soft blobs of colour and luminescence.

The world loses its sharp edges and complicated lines, and in its place a collection of images radiating warmth and darkness. It is this feeling, this emotional response to these elements of the living environment that my work embodies.

When I look around me at the natural world, I see beautiful things. Amazing colours, rain drops, touches of frost, lacey leaf skeletons, reflections, refractions, and tiny treasures.

These elements are important parts of my life and who I am and are present in this series, Fais de la lumière: “Give Us Light.
